One Wiiiild and Craaazy Week

So this last week we celebrated our 8th year of marriage. I'm pretty proud of that even though we took it kind of casual this year as far as dealing with eachother went. We just didn't seem to have time so we didn't give eachother cards, and presents were minimal but well thought. We just spent time with each other which is what its' all about.
Tuesday night, the night of our anniversary, we went to Locos for Trivia night. We went up against the Campus Nerds (good to see y'all out even though I don't know any of your names) and a few other teams. We didn't win but we had a great time.  Wed and Thursday were just busy but Friday night the grandparents watched the grandkids so we could go see The Full Monty at the Springer. It was FANTASTIC! I actually get really uncomfortable around nudity (which is funny because it just mirrors the sentiments in the play) but it still made me laugh really hard (even more so watching the little old lady *emphasis old* snicker and react "are they really holding hands?" to the play). Thoroughly enjoyable.
Today was busy again, we finally made it to church again. What's amusing is we were still late. Phil woke me up for the 9:30 service and we made it to the 11AM one instead. But we MADE it... on time even. Lunch at Pho Vy as usual and then came home to have our French Club board games and conversation evening.
Well CSU French Club... was missing... sauf que moi. But I had a blast opening my door to new OCS (or OCC) students from Belgium, Lebanon and wherever Alii was from (sorry I forgot). We played French Scrabble, had cous cous, fromage, and other light fare and just had a great old time until just a little while ago. It feels good to be able to experience this country from other peoples perspective. They didn't know about Halloween!!! Luckily my husband was more than willing to explain since he's just pulled his haunted house stuff from the attic to prepare for the 31st.
All in all it was a great week, I feel like I did a million things and got nothing done all at the same time. Hopefully we'll have more students turn out in the future, but at least we're working on it!
