Well, it's 2012.
I think I'm still reeling from 2011, so it feels like 2012 should be comparatively calm no matter what's going on (new nieces, new sister-in-laws, secret projects and all). It's day 1 and I already feel like I have too much on my plate, but I suppose it's just a carry over. As of right now I'm just signed up for one class, maybe an independent study. My biggest busy work will be the extra work I add on to myself.
I already want to teach myself French all over from the beginning (and maybe a couple of other folks), will be doing Les Amis as usual, now participating in Lambda Pi Eta projects (Huzzah!) and trying to save the French Major Track (it sounds absurd, but I think it's absurd they're cancelling the program) and I really want to start working out daily (I just can't figure out where to fit it into my day).
I'm still trying to pull together all these desires, and I'm hearing more and more that I should just be focusing on happiness. We all convince ourselves that what we WANT will make us HAPPY. But I think when we DECIDE we are happy is when we BECOME happy.
So add attitude change to the list of desires ;-)
All in all I can say last year was one of the most exhausting and challenging years since I've been back to school... but I achieved a LOT! And for that I'm super grateful (and a little proud). I know it's God looking out for me and I know he has more in store for me. If I can just relax and stretch my soul a little I know I'll be able to take on even more, I just need to cocoon a bit.
For now I wish any/all of my readers the most positive of blessings in their life. May you find love, happiness, friendship, fulfillment, peace, comfort... or whatever it is you need in this new year!
