You know I never thought I'd... What? What' appointment?

I'm not sure if it's something in the air, or if I have reached my threshold of time management but I am a FLAKE.

Spell it with me F-L-A-K-E.

I can't keep it together lately. It's sort of a lesson on you get what you ask for. I'm constantly juggling my priorities -sometimes it's strength, sometimes it's finances, sometimes it's health... lately, I've made it a point to pray for some social skills (because I'm really awkward, you may or may not know this) and some public interaction will hopefully positively influence my husbands real estate career*.

*As I told him 3 years ago "You can't get into real estate and sit at home waiting for people to call you." Real estate requires a dating mindset... You hang out around town trying to strike up meaningful conversation with that special person whose ultimate goal is a lifelong commitment (or at least a 30 year fixed rate low APR commitment). So we've been out on the town more (I've been tired more) and I'm re-visiting a few bad habits... not sleeping is one of them. I'm really strapped for time with all my responsibilities at home (dishes, laundry, meals, kids, magazine drives, karate, husband, etc), at school (homework, french club, sga, degree getting), and socializing (making sure we're talking about Phil's career, helping friends, community outreach, staying involved in church). I know 'this too shall pass' but it is a loooong process this fall.

I really just want the best for my family. I haven't realized -or at least not internalized- the fact that I cannot do everything. I think I know I can't do it, but I keep trying and only realize after I make mistakes and miss appointments that maybe I'm overreaching myself. My husband doesnt understand why I've been so upset about missing my volunteer night at church, or my doctors appt (that blue cross wont pay for anyway). To me it's not just life that intervened, its a lack of control that I used to have. I used to be able to DO this...

I think the wimpy answer would be to say: Just quit school for now, you can always go back later. But I've used that excuse so many times, especially when I didn't have half the commitments I do now. I really just need to finish. I'm pretty sure I believe it's the housework that's holding me back... I dont mind everything else! So if you know anyone who just is a perfectionist and itching to do housework for free (and isn't completely bat crazy, dangerous, or stalky) send them my way.
