You and me and the psychic makes 3....

The other day when I was out my husband received several phone calls from his sister in succession as his work shift was ending. He missed her call to the house, to his cell phone and then the house again... Worrisome indeed.

He recounted this to me once he finally got a hold of her (names have been changed because I don't want any drama :) ):

My husbands step-aunt (June) called his sister(Shay) to tell her she'd just spoken with a psychic. So June tells Shay that the psychic gave her lots of advice about her own life... finances, relationships etc and it was "sooo accurate"... but then the conversation turned to June's "sister with a dog." This was interpreted as being my mother-in-law (who passed on 4 years ago this January). Well apparently June says that congratulations are in order for my mother-in-law, but the psychic never said why she was to be congratulated. This was thus interpreted as meaning "someone is going to get pregnant soon, or already is." I'm sure you can see where this is going...

A little back story is necessary, however. There is an uncanny trend in my extended family. My sister-in-law (Shay) and I have become pregnant a month a part on both children. Her eldest has a January birthday, my eldest has a February birthday; her youngest has a September birthday, my youngest has an October birthday. I have joked for YEARS that the next time she gets pregnant... she's not allowed to tell me about it until after the baby is delivered, maybe so we can break this eerie cycle.

So Shay called my husband (her brother) frantically to say that someone is about to get pregnant and it sure as heck isn't going to be her so it must be me. LOL's (i use that ironically). We'll have to leave this up to God I suppose, birth control can be pretty effective so any pregnancy is definitely going to be Gods will. But it's all I can think about now (especially because when we almost missed our flight over labor day, they called out our last name as a party of 5... and we only have 4 in our family).

Baby V is going to have to wait... I've got a degree to finish, and I really intend on finishing it this time. So the psychic and step aunt may be calling it on intuition... but maybe there's other reasons congratulations are in order.... your guess is as good as mine!
